Off SeasonTraining Program
Program Overview:
The NCQA off-season training program takes our athletes through our proven success plan which involves a progressive approach and learning philosophy based on, proven mechanics, orthopaedics, and proven results. Not only will we push our athletes to improve their physical skills but also prepare them mentally to play the quarterback position, improving their decision making, pre-snap reads, and defensive scheme recognition. NCQA is committed to not only developing quarterbacks, but building young men into tomorrow’s leaders.
Program Details:
-February-May
-Weekly on-field training sessions held either Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays 8:15pm-9:45pm (training day dependent on age/skill level)
-All sessions conducted at Louis-Riel Dome
-Minimum of 6 Classroom sessions (dates and times to be determined)
-Group sizes no larger than 8
-Cost: $30 per sessions (plus Dome membership fee)
-instruction available in English and French

- Location: 1659 Bearbrook Rd Gloucester, ON K1B 4N3
- State of the art indoor training facility
-workouts will take place in the D-Zone
Brief outline of the Quarterback fundamental skills and advanced techniques that are developed:
-Proper stance and key pocket explosiveness
-Pocket presence
-Hand to ball placement
-Proper drop mechanics, increase quickness and power on ALL drops, key first step explosiveness
-Add both Power and Speed to both drop back and throws
-Throwing Mechanics of passing the football stressed individually
-1, 2, 3, 5 Step drops
-Play Action Pass
-Sprint out
-Footwork
-Reading Defenses
- Ball Handling/Faking
-Option
-Leadership
-Heavy emphasis on footwork, weight transfer and delivery
-Post Secondary/Academic Advice
